Conference Overview
ICSKS 2025 brings together professionals, researchers, and innovators to discuss AI’s transformative impact on sectors like information science, communication, healthcare, environmental studies, and legal systems, focusing on advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This conference offers a vibrant platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and exploration of AI-powered sustainable solutions. The conference will be held onsite at Karatina University; however, options for online participation will also be considered to accommodate a wider audience.

Dr. Obiyinka’s recently defended doctoral thesis, titled *Production Quality, Professional Commitment, and Marketing Strategies as Determinants of Book Sales Performance of Educational Publishers in Southwestern Nigeria, was completed under the Department of Library, Archival, and Information Studies, specifically within the Publishing and Copyright Unit. Supervised by Associate Professor, Dr. Clement Adeniyi Akangbe, his research offers fresh insights into the factors that influence book sales performance among educational publishers in southwest Nigeria

The symposium will feature an esteemed panel of scholars and experts, including Rudolf Gaudio from Purchase College, NY; Adunni Adelakun from the University of Texas, Austin; Matthias Krings from the University of Mainz; Paul Onanuga from the University of Oye-Ekiti; Ololade Faniyi from Emory University; Bukola Ochei from the University of Ibadan and the University of Michigan; Oluwayinka Arawomo from Millikin University; and Nneoma Onwuegbuchi from the University of Wisconsin.




The session, taking place from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon (Nigeria time), will explore critical issues such as plagiarism, academic dishonesty, and responsible online behavior among Nigerian undergraduates. Professor Adetimirin will share insights from her recent research, funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund), Nigeria, highlighting the connection between e-learning platform usage and ethical behavior.
