The United Nations Library is hosting a special side event during the 9th Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology, and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (STI Forum).

Event Focus:
Libraries have long been threatened by censorship and conflict, and in the digital era, these challenges have taken on new forms that necessitate increased attention to cybersecurity. Libraries are tasked with protecting both their institutions and their patrons’ safety and privacy. This panel will feature experts from the United Nations and the global library community to discuss why libraries are being targeted and what measures are being taken to safeguard their crucial role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
