Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Identify as female OR
- Identify as Black African, Black Caribbean, or other Black ethnicity.

- Have received a conditional or unconditional offer for the MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the University of Birmingham.
- Be classified as a UK resident for fee purposes, or an international student.
Scholarship Benefits
The DeepMind Scholarship provides:
- Full tuition fees coverage: £27,540 for international students and £10,980 for UK students.
- A maintenance grant of £19,345, paid in installments.
- Up to £2,200 for attending an international AI or Machine Learning conference.
- £1,700 for essential equipment, such as a laptop.
- £1,870 for relocation expenses.
Application Process
Applicants must first apply for admission to the University of Birmingham for the MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Upon receiving an offer, applicants will be sent an email with a direct link to apply for the DeepMind Scholarship. The final deadline for scholarship applications is July 21, 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews at the end of July 2024.
